Parish Information

St. Mary Catholic Elementary School is a welcoming community with a mission to assist all students to achieve their spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional potential in a caring environment. Academic programs at St. Mary's exist within a spiritual orientation based on the Catholic faith. The tone of the school reflects a theme of respect and responsibility, a collaborative approach to problem solving, and a community focus made up of students, staff, parents, parish, and the wider community. 

The Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations (OCSGEs) inform the teaching and learning in all PVNC classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 12 as an expression of the relationship between learning and believing which is fundamental in Catholic schools.  The OCSGEs serve as a clear example of the way that Catholic schools address specific curriculum expectations to meet the educational needs of learnings and address the development of the whole person, incorporating elements of faith in the holistic education of students.
